Topic: Which Coffee(s) for Work Today? (6 msgs / 126 lines)
1) From: Eddie Dove
I brought three coffees with me today and I will be surprised if they
last beyond noon:
1. Guatemala Cup of Excellence #1 - El Injerto
2. India Mysore Nuggets Extra Bold
3. Bolivia FTO SHG EP Caranavi
I "cupped" the El Injerto last night, along with several others; it
was closing in on the completion of the 4th day of rest. It had begun
the transformation into an explosion of "fruit and complexity" that
Les had mentioned and this morning it certainly is. Woah!
Please don't buy any of the India Mysore until I have gotten enough to
fill up my shed. When I was tasting these coffees, i thought I would
try them with cream just see what happened; I don't like milk, cream
or even whipped cream at all, let alone in my coffee. However, the
India Mysore with a bit of Half & Half was tantamount to a cup of hot
cocoa with some warming spice.
The Bolivia Caranavi is simply elegant.

Eddie,
Intresting, I thought I might be stoned for mentioning now that I am home
roasting that I try almost every cup with some cream, half and half or
sometimes whole milk, to see how it changes the flavor, or if some of the
subtilties of the flavor are brought to life a bit more. That mixed with I
love my cappuccino. I think I might have to email Mike and ask him how to
make the Milkey Way Cappuccino he was talking about the other day. That
sounded yummy...

Jason,
No stoning here for enjoying your coffee! I only drink my coffee
black, but my wife enjoys it with cream and sweetener. Everyone
should ENJOY their coffee!

Eddie,
I can't believe you would take any of your precious one pound of CoE to work
to share. Call me selfish if you want, but I only shared my Injerto with my
beloved. I told you those India coffees were special.

I always take a sip of my coffees black, just to see what it is like. =
But, I then add some fat free milk to it. I like how that tastes, and =
I need every source of protein I can get. Doctor's orders. So.. it
works for me.

Les,
I just can't help but share these coffees, but they will likely get
only one opportunity to sample the El Injerto.
Indeed you were correct about the India Mysore; I had two orders for
it before 10:00 AM.
