John, you just elected yourself DTO (dead topic officer)! But we could call
it BTO to raise the confusion factor even higher. (buried topic officer with
"Taking Care of Business" theme song:-)

Conical burr grinders are always better than flat burr grinders. Hence my
$30 "conical burr" grinder may grind slower but is on par with a $1300
Mazzer Kony conical burr grinder and better than any flat burr grinder.
(Like Rocky, Mazzer Mini/SJ/Major, MaCap etc.)

Whirly blade grinders work great as long as you shake the beans while
grinding, even work fine for espresso.

Espresso is a (dark) roast.

It's not safe to backflush Miss Silvia. (ok, not AS common)

What's a really good commonly found and still sold sub $50 drip brewer?

Robusta is required for good crema.

Could probably think of some more...

Just so that I can keep track, I'd like to have a list of the topics that
are have "beaten the dead horse" (disclaimer: no horses were actually harmed
in the fashioning of this email)
What topics are considered "Retired?" Here's what I'm tracking:
- resting time
- what kind of rice to use to clean a grinder
- what is hold for harvey

Have we elected an officer to monitor and bury dead topics?

Just trying to keep things straight ;- )

Hmmm DHI, so instead maybe the theme song should be a Dead Head dittie like
"You Don't Have To Ask" or "Throwing Stones" or "The Same Thing" or "Help on
the Way" (or "Ship of Fools":-)
But wait, what about Guns N' Roses "Dead Horse"!
