Recently, I roasted some of the Ethiopia FTO DP Sidamo and Java
Government Estate Djampit to a lighter level of roast than I would
normally. The Sidamo bordered City / City+ and the Djampit was City+.
I and some others with whom I share my home roasted coffee found both
of these coffees to be very enjoyable. While the Sidamo didn't have
the refinement of the Idido Misty Valley, it was reminiscent with the
fruited (lemon, berry, etc) notes in the cup. The Djampit had a
wonderful and mild nuttiness to it that was immensely enjoyable.
Have you enjoyed similar experiences?

I loved the Idido with 25% Java Djampit. I then added a little bit of
old Yemen and it was great. You may want to try the former and add some
DP Sidamo to add some complexity, but not as much Sidamo as Idido.
You'll have a whole bunch of berry in there with some complexity and
good body.
I've never roasted Java that light and want to try it.
