Topic: Harvy ... amazingly risky (25 lines)
1) From: Randall Nortman
I didn't realize that they contracted Priority Mail out sometimes. I
have never had problems with them before, though I've only used them
once before on an order from SM's. This order is still not here --
shipped Monday of last week. USPS won't investigate until 14 postal
business days from the ship date, which is another week from today.
I had no idea USPS was this risky. My Harvey has been good to me in
the past. But next time, I will suck it up and pay the extra little
bit for UPS. As consolation, I'll be able to get more than 12lbs per
order. I had trouble narrowing my selection down to just 12 coffees,
so I didn't really even have the option of getting more than a pound
of any one.
So what's the sweet spot for price/lb with UPS Ground, shipping to the
East coast? Has anybody worked that out? (I mean, I know it just
keeps getting cheaper per pound, but I'm sure the curve has an "elbow"
in it somewhere, and that's the sweet spot.)
