Topic: Costa Rica La Magnolia decaf homeroasted versus proroasted (27 lines)
1) From: PAUL RIFKIN
After a long silence something I really want to write
about. I ran out of my own decaf to roast up and found
that a very well regarded company was offering the
above as decaf. I ordered a twelve ounce pack and it
arrived with a roast date of 5/7 on 5/9. Made a drip
pot. Very nice. Thing is, it was pretty much what I
remembered getting out of my hot air popper. Cost with
shipping was around twenty one bucks for the pro
roast. You can see what I am driving at, I think. The
price of good beans,a little electricity, and a
fifteen dollar popcorn popper plus my time gets me a
pot of coffee that seems to me reasonably equivalent
(at least to my old taste-buds) to a good company's
product. Go homeroasters!
