What kind of grinder would work for you? What kind of price range would you expect to pay? Where is the grinder in terms of importance to you, relative to your coffee making? Maybe this can help the dialogue somewhat.... Who are you and what have you done with Brett? Let me translate: if you don't care to spend the money on a machine that will consistently produce the grind you tell it to over a long period of time, buy a $10 hammer or find a $0 heavy flat rock and mash your beans to the right consistency. You can't beat the price and with practice you can probably get the same level of consistency. To each their own. For me, 'good enough' was a $240 refurb rocky and a $35 new set of burrs. YMMV. Offer not available in stores. There's never been a better time to buy. -F On 5/24/07, Brett Mason wrote: <Snip> age <Snip> me <Snip> to <Snip> okoo <Snip> t <Snip> ter <Snip> was <Snip> ons <Snip> tp <Snip> s <Snip>
Mine is two Zasses, used, for about $100, plus An Armin Trosser, used, for about $40, plus Rocky Doserless, for about $300, plus Cory Grindmaster, used for about $70, but worth about $700. That's about $510 out of pocket, retail valued around $1200+ Does Bugatti make a quality grinder? With a Gift Certificate from the coffeelike drink emporium dba Starbucks, you need no grinder whatsoever. They do it all for you, and will leave "room" so you can have it your way. Please enjoy whatever beverage you like, and do not take any comments as personal insults. You can certainly spend heavily on everything else, but an inadequate grinder will absolutely negate your entire investment. It is absolutely >That< important. Cheers -RayO, aka Opa! Got Grinder?
