Topic: Ordering through sweet marias (5 msgs / 90 lines)

This is a multi-part message in MIME format.
I am having difficulty ordering a coffee roaster through sweet marias.
I have made several attempts at e mail and through the ordering site but =
I cannot get a response.
My problem is that while I want to place the order and have it shipped =
to a Calif address, and my credit card is for my Calif. credit union, =
VISA, my billing address is in Mexico.  SM has a long list of countries =
for an automatic entry but Mexico is not among them and that is a =
required entry.  Therefore it will not accept my order.
I would normally give up and go to another company but I prefer dealing =
with SM. Hopefully someone at SM will read this and help.
This is a backup roaster and not an emergency, although I would have =
liked to have my daughter bring it down in June if possible.

You may need tocheck with your crdi crd bnk:it looks like they'r
rejecting  you because ofthe foreign billing address.Hav  you  tried
calling Tom or Maria to determine who is breaking the purchase  path?

Roberto, Obviously this is something that tom or maria will have to 
answer but you might want to give them a call or drop them an e mail off 
list.
 From the few times I have had to interact on a more personal note, (ok 
because I screwed up ordering)  they have figured it out, and fix it 
almost immediately and offer superb service.
im thinking your coffee roaster might be just a phone call away.

You can always mail them a check, it will take longer to clear but it will
work.  I know, I know, checks?  What is thing check thing you speak of!

checks are fine, and we ship the order by the next business day. the 
only problem we have is that sometimes check /snail mail customers 
order from the tiny joy newsletter, which (unavoidably) can be out of 
date 10 days after we update it. so you really need to look at the 
current offering list on the web.
by the way, the LONG lag during checkout due to UPS/USPS rate 
calulation is not QUITE as long now. Seems like we had some , er, 
inelegant code in there. Priority mail calculations seem dead on - 
they sure messed us up with their "update" ... typical USPS style.
