I thought all E 61 PF gaskets were the same. I just gave the Brute its =
yearly cleaning using citric acid and changed the gasket with one I =
bought at a distributor from New Jersey. Could not get the new one in no =
matter what I did or whichever way I turned it (raised number up or =
down. The PF would not lock in. Went back to the original one and =
everything works fine. Is the Expobar E 61 grouphead different from all =
other E 61.

There are different thickness E61 gaskets. Sounds like you may have gotten a
thicker one which is designed for PFs with worn "ears".

Anyone need 2 of these?

That is odd. I have an Isomac Zaffiro and it handles the thicker gaskets
just fine and is not worn. Perhaps the portafilters have smaller ears,
don't know, but I rather like the thicker gaskets.
