hey,
i just added a google gadget of interesting thing of the day and one of my
first entries was about decaffeinating coffee.http://itotd.com/articles/640/coffee-decaffeination-processes/i thought that it wasn't a bad article - not too fluffy but sounded
knowledgeable. i don't know much about the decaffeination process (never
really paid attention), but i thought that it was an interesting read.
the one bug in my bonnet was that there are lots of adds embedded in
hyperlinks and mini break-out areas.

Thats how google makes their money. They pay people to have their links
show up first or in the first few on searches.
As a webmaster you can make some good money from them too. See all you
need to do is have a google ad on your page somewhere and if someone
clicks on it you get paid for that click. Some of the advertisements
are worth $3.00 or more a click. just for having it on the site.
so when google pretends to be trying to make your life easier for you
with this nifty little 'toolbar' or something that gives you ad's and
links and crap, all they are doing is making $$$ for them every time
you use the thing and goto one of the sites they carefully sifted
through (by order of who paid them more $$$) and presented you. Oh and
we won't even get into the spyware aspect of it, but technically it's
not spyware since you clicked the "i agree" button to watch, log and
process every click of the mouse you do on your computer.
