I don't know if you have been to the SM site today, but there are some
awesome new offerings listed. I sure am glad that Brown brought me an order
yesterday. The folks at SM allowed me to buy a pound of Jacu Bird Coffee in
Becky's name, and I now have a pound of Mexican in the stash. I'll continue
on stash reduction with the hope that some of the awesome new offerings are
still around, when it is time of order again. I sure would like to hear
some reports on first roasts of these new coffees. I still don''t
understand why there is Jacu Bird coffee left. Derek said there is less
than 50 pounds of this unique coffee to be had. It has a very unique flavor
that is really good in the cup. The allure of Kopi Luak that is often a
Robusta or fake seems to tantalize the homeroasters, but a bird processed
doesn't? I have had genuine Luak, it was a great experience because of its
uniqueness, not because it was such a great cup of coffee. The Jacu Bird is
an excellent cup of coffee, that is all Tom will sell. So what has happened
to the adventuresses of you guys and gals?

Just went to SM's to copy a link for my last post. Since my bookmark is the
green coffee offerings page, I had to sneak a look. Wow! I stayed a mere 3
secs and saw some I really want. But, after adding up stock on hand, 165 lbs
caff and 20 lbs decaf, I guess I'm waiting. We're just going to have to get
an RK grill soon, so we can sell more. I've stopped roasting and my
husband's taken over, but for ergonomic sake, a grill's gonna be better.
Unless that roaster you're testing pans out. Keep us posted.
Take care,
Ann
