Topic: OT: Anyone Else? (3 msgs / 147 lines)

Anyone else from the list getting an iPhone next Friday?
I'll be standing in line. ;-)
Coffee in hand. (let's keep this a little bit On Topic)
I've been waiting for this day since they discontinued the Newton.
I've had 3 lines from T-Mobile and I've already busted the contract
on 2 of them (the two that won't be iPhones) and switched them over
to AT&T in preparation for next Friday. So all I'll have to do is
switch over my remaining line and we're all set. Lucky for me, this
remaining line is already out of contract.
Then I'm going on a road trip to the east side of the country the
following day. I'll be roasting coffee all week long in order to be
sure I have plenty on hand during my trip. Both for myself and some
to leave with family.

I've learned from bitter experience not to pay to be a Beta tester.
I'll leave the "bleeding edge" status to the Generation Next. Staying
a Luddite with my Samsung Blade and a PalmTungsten C (a non-phone PDA
that uses my regular ISP or hotspots for wi-fi web and e-mail), since
I still have a year and a half left on my Sprint contract.

I am sure thinking about it; my only concern at this point is I really hate to change cell companies so I may wait until all or my company can use it.
