Ok, I have become intrested in a hottop from a capasity standpoint, and everyone seems to agree it is a very good roaster. The review with the new programable profiles is quite intresting, which currently, is managed by my roaster with no user input. So, if you are pretty much a newbie at roasting, and are just getting to the point you can deliver the proper roast level consistantly, how do you learn what bean to use what profile on? What do profiles get you over straight heat? (I am assuming various types of roasting will deliver a better cup) So for a $400+ if you are buying out right, is the new hottop seems like a bad choice, for me but I could be wrong and reading way to much into this.
