Roasted up a 1/4 lb. of Brazil Jacu Bird coffee this a.m. (after end
of 1st crack but not into second--it's a Brazil and I didn't want it
to get ashy) and brought it to a friend's house for after his
fireworks-watching party (his 43rd floor apt. overlooks Grant Park).
Holy wah--even with less than 10 hrs. outgassing it was phenomenal--
chocolatey and nutty (brewed in an ordinary Black & Decker drip with
Swissgold basket). Of course, I took no chances: I told the guests
that the cherries were "picked" by birds and then retrieved by the
farmers--I left out the part about the birds having done any of the
processing.

"bird poo"
Dad's car was a 4-door '58 model. Lots of chrome and cheesecake.
The roof was black. Mid body below the windows and above the gold streak was
a heavy metallic Burgundy/ Red. It was a Spring color called Grenadier Red.
The white spots on the hood, roof and windshield were a Spring , summer and
fall phenomenon called >Bird Excrement<.
Earl Scheib himself could have recommended it, but it wouldn't have
diminished my exasperation at having to carry a bucket and damp Chamois. The
more I polished it, the more the finish looked like melting ice and it
positively got more airmail deliveries.
The contents of my bucket could have been dried, roasted and called some
sort of aerodynamic tea. Nonetheless, it wouldn't have changed the basic
category of the stuff or diminished my absolute loathing for it.
Cheers -RayO, aka Opa!
