Topic: Shopping for a roaster... (5 msgs / 236 lines)

If you think shopping and deciding on a home roaster is hard and afraid =
of
making the "wrong" decision, spend some time seriously shopping for a 3 =
to 5
kilo shop roaster! I can say I've pretty much, most likely, maybe, I =
think
at the moment anyway, ruled out IR burners in favor of atmospheric =
burners,
beyond that it's still mental (and financial) mayhem:-) Then there's the
relativley small 2 to $3k incremental move to double the capacity 10 to =
12k
size. But not as effective as a sample roaster and takes a bit more =
space
while a well controlled 10 pounder could also do a pound...
OOOOOOooooRRRRRrrrrr forget about the doubling as sample roaster and =
just
use Frankie controlled Rosto for samples OR get CCR HotTop for very good
profile development and sample roaster.
Ok, nothing to do with home roasting per se so maybe OT, but hey, you =
may
find yourself in the same dilema some day!
Color schemes, gotta decide Kafé color scheme if ordering a new =
roaster
(rather than scoring a good deal on a used) so know what color roaster =
to
order! Geese, beat me with a wet noodle, I have truly joined the ranks =
of
the truly insane:-) I know, Debi loves purple so maybe just go with a =
purple
roaster...yeah that's it, and have it customized so it looks like a =
purple
people eater! Yeah, that'd be Kafe friendly. Ok, never mind.

Well, let me know when you're ready to decorate ... I'll contribute a =
couple
of worthy landscapes if they match the décor.

Probably spell it with a "j" since it is usually a placeholder to use
instead of "Jesus!".
