Topic: Succumb to the dark side? (4 msgs / 67 lines)
1) From: Eddie Dove
Hey Kevin,
My methods of extraction do periodically include plunges into the dark side ...
Mostly, my choice method of brewing depends on mood and amount of time
available ...
At 4:00 AM, the Technivorm Moccamaster CD with Swissgold filter wins
every time especially since I brew three consecutive pots. In the
evening, it may be the Krups Moka Brew or a pour-over. On the
weekend, it may be a brew by way of a Vacuum Pot that you so kindly
and generously gifted. The dark side could sneak in anywhere during
the week, except at 4:00 AM.

Eddie,
I take it you've had success brewing with the Bodum Santos?

Eddie,
I only ask out of envy (though, 'envy' has an excessive negative
connotation, 'admiration' may be more appropriate) as I hope to travel down
the dark side by the winter...

About 70/30 ... I don't do vac-pot very often so sometimes I screw it
up and have only used a Cory glass rod. When it comes out right, I
quite like the brew.
I don't always nail the espresso shots and when I don't, I really
enjoy the Americanos ... I think you will too.
