Yeah. Just getting under 75 lbs and BAMMM! 10 lbs of Harar Horse, 10 lbs
of Mokha Kadir, 5 lbs of India Mysore and 5 lbs of Sumatran Classic
Mandehling. Right from nowhere, upside the head. Didn't see it coming at
all. ;)

ive never thought of food purchases as 'owning' items.
i guess technically you own food or coffee, but what happens when you eat or
drink it? does it become a disrespect for your property?
hmm, if you own it, and its in your home, its insured under your homeowners
ins policy.. but then, once you drink it all, you can claim a loss, b/c you
dont own it any more. maybe you can ask the ins company to buy you this
coffee that someone keeps taking from under your ownership

I lost count but think I am floating around 150ish lbs in various places in
the house (which is why i lose track). I did show restraint and only
ordered 5 of the guat, but had to try 2ers of the Honduran, the Cameroonian,
the Sumatran peaberry, and something else. I didn't even get some of the
others I wanted to try out...I see another order in my future. And I
already got the shipping email! So I had to go out and roast 4lb to give
away today, as pennance. Bye bye old 2nd source practice coffees!

Think of it as investing - you put in money, trade for great green beans...
You process great green beans and create incredible roasted nuggets
You convert the nuggets to priceless nectar
Yes it's consumption. Only aspect that remains is value - and this
consumption results in a value that is priceless.
Merely the costs can be measured, and they aren't that bad...

I am just about ready to go out and roast a pound of Guatemala
Chimeltenango - San Jose Ocana. How did I get mine so fast? It is
the last pound from last year's crop! Perfect timing in the stash
rotation! It happens once in a while. Oh I can't believe the new
offerings! I am going to hold out for at least a week so I can think
things through. I am back on reduction after my order two weeks ago,
but only two pounds ahead in the game with about 50 pound to go to
where I will be a happy camper. I just hope you guys and gals don't
flood Tom with orders of the Guat and the Blue Batak.

Les, I just put in an order, the other day, which just happened to
contain the Guat and the Blue Batak. This roaster at a coffee shop
near my mother's place recommended them as we when through the SM Web
site, he was great in giving me ideas. Now I wish I had ordered
more, but it takes me so long to go through my stash anyway. I did
order a 5# bag of Costa Rica Vino de Arabia, which I will roast for
my mother as a birthday gift - not all at once! Just when she is
running low. Since trying it she has doubled her intake of coffee
and has had no issues with the caffeine bothering her.
My last addition to my stash for a while consisted of:
Guatemala Chimeltenango - San Jose Ocana -1 lb
Brazil Cachoeira da Grama -Yellow Bourbon -1 lb
Colombia Huila -San Augustin Microlot -1 lb
Sumatra Blue Batak "Tarbarita" Peaberry - 1lb
Costa Rica - Vino de Arabia -5 lbs
Colombia Cup of Excellence - El Caucho -1 lb
I can't wait to try them. I love peaberrys, so I am really excited
about the Blue Batak.
