My only excuse for my silliness this morning, is my daughter called me last=
night from college and announced she is dating a bullrider.

I've been on the list for over 4 years, and I'v=
e just not been
able to figure out how to configure my email reader to ei=
ther
render the mixed html/text or totally disallow it.
( I subscribe=
 to the digest)
It is such a difficulty to have to ferret out the few =
text lines from
the godawful number of lines of html or worse...raw image=
 data...
What do others do to solve this problem ?
would it be po=
ssible to post a list-mom message ever so often
to ask folks to :
1.=
  please post only text messages
2. please edit out any un-necessary par=
t of the original post
3. please do not attach images
4. please be ki=

happy 'labor' da=

Well, Cookie, you definitely needed a spew alert with this!
As a mother of four kids, I learned very quickly to take (most) things in
stride. I think my own revelation came when my daughter dyed her hair bright
green (didn't wash out) and also when
she shaved her head - totally bald. No, she didn't shave the head in a
reaction to the green dye, and I can't remember which came first.
Finally decided that hair grows back, the piercings & tattoos don't matter,
and when you get
right down to it. it's the kid beyond all that, that matters.
However... I admit - I never got news that she, or any of my other kids, was
dating a bullrider...
 yet....

My son is dating a lingerie model. A bullrider (I assume there are
females who do this) might be a better deal.

Your son's eyesight might qualify him for a career as a pilot....

Lynne, we have never been all that concerned with hair color. The public sc=
hools around here are quite anal rententive about it, though, and only allo=
w what they call "natural" hair colors, which made my daughter try to get h=
er hair bleached out and dyed gray, insisting it was a natural color. We al=
ways let her go pink in the summer while she was in high school, even going=
so far as to pay for it. Now that she is in college, her hair is its natu=
ral blondish brown, because she would have to pay for the dye-job herself!=
The bullrider turned out to be a false alarm; a relationship that last=
ed for a couple of days. Today, shocking revelation is, she is drinking cof=
fee! Latte's from *$, but, I guess you have to start somewhere.
    She h=
as been a chai girl for years. Not that stuff in a carton, either. She alwa=
ys brewed her own, and even experiments with her own blends of spices. I th=
ink she will get sick of, "The Only Game In Town" by Christmas, and want he=
r own coffee making equipment, including some of Mommy's homeroast.
