Topic: Old Tavern JBM (22 lines)
1) From: Mike McGinness
I wasn't happy with the JBM Mavis Banks greens I got in July, though the JBM-MB I got in March were
great. Just found a source for JBM Old Tavern greens from Kaya Imports of New Brunwick Canada of all
places! Jamie, the gentleman I spoke with, spent 5 years in Jamaica. When he returned to Canada it
took two years to get acceptance from the Jamaica Coffee Industry Board to import JBM. They then
decided to go with Old Tavern, which by the way is the only single Estate JBM. The other 3 sources;
Mavis Banks, Wallenford and I don't know the 4th are processing mills, not Estates. Old Tavern is a
130 acre Estate starting at 4000' elevation. He was going to send me a # of greens to try and then
if I liked it I'd pay. Instead we're trading Kona greens (plus maybe other greens I have from around
the world) for JBM Old Tavern.
This coffee addiction is fun!
I've just been informed dinner is ready so...
