That brings back some memories for me, Ray. In 1958 my parents bought
a Zenith hi-fi, with a main cabinet housing radio and turntable, and
speakers, of course, and a satellite cabinet, all in cherry. For the
time it was quite a unit. I had no albums of my own and played my
mother's. One of my favorites was Morton Gould playing 1812 Overture
on side A, with cannons at all the good spots, and Bolero on side B.
To this day I don't think I have heard a better version of either.
Wish I could brew up some horse and listen to that combo again right now....
