Don't mean to violate any rules, spoken or unspoken, but Coffee Bean Corral
is selling this bean. They say they "found" a bag.

Referring someone to another Vendor for coffee greens is actually a direct
violation of Tom's written rules (and a breach of etiquette) which we all
agreed to when signing up for Tom's List.
 List Rules
This is a free, commercial mail list (Sweet Maria's foots the bill to host
this list), but you do not have to be a customer to join or participate:
In brief here's the list rules, which you agree to by subscribing to the
list, (further explanations are below <> ):
*	No outside commercial posts or solicitations - we do not allow
outside commercial posts of any kind. This includes regular emails with
commercial references, URLs, addresses or 800 numbers of products.*
*	No intentionally offensive language or posts - NO PROFANITY! Don't
type anything that you would not say out loud - that is a good rule of
thumb.
*	No posts detrimental to our business
*	Politeness and netiquette to other list members & the list
administrator (that's me) is required. Feel free to disagree, but do it
politely.
*	"Bad Faith" posting or "Baiting"; this list is for people who say
what they mean, not for those who want to purposefully antagonize. If the
list administrator feels a person consistently posts statements in "bad
faith" then they will be removed from the list.
*	Off topic posting is discouraged, but if it is a spinoff of a
coffee-related thread, please use the subject line convention "OT". OT is
meant, as they say on the stage, as an "aside." People who consistently
start off topic threads or don't properly label off topic threads are due
for removal from the list. OT threads that have political, religious or
other flashpoint topics and have the intent to antagonize will result in the
removal of the poster.
*	(List removal note: don't assume you have been removed from the list
for any reason. 99 out of 100 times you are removed from the list due to
email bouncing back to the list server. If you are removed for a reason, you
will be notified why. Yes, you can re-join the list if removeal is the
result of some misunderstanding).
*	Other folks in the coffee trade may join, but please email me
personally before attempting to join to introduce yourself.
Please communicate with me, Tom, personally at tom-at-sweetmarias.com if you
ever have questions about the rules, or if something you want to post
conflicts with them.

Definitely a violation Tim so off to the dungeons with you.

true folks, there are other places you can go to comparison shop for
availability and price. and if last year's misty valley suits you,
then fine, but there's a reason we make a point out of selling out of
coffees in a timely way, and we sold out of misty valley sometime
around 7 months ago. if i found a bag of misty valley i would toss it
in the dumpster. this year's supply is very tight and the arrival is
immanent, like a couple weeks. the pre-ships were good, so i have
high hopes. i am also pretty excited about a new origin from
ethiopia that is coming in a few weeks, a dry process with huge body.
we also have the best sidamo dry-process of the year coming in a
week. it's from trabocca, who came through last year with our best
sidamo of the year. the moredocafe was good, very rustic but good.
the trabocca is better. i have an fto harar coming, a solid cup, but
i won't be bragging too much about it. it's just like that for harar
this year. we also might have a very good limmu dry-process, but that
is a bit more uncertain. so that's the basic rundown on DP ethiopia.
BTW, the sana'ani that came in last week (we'll have it for about 3-4
months) is very good! -tom

Tom's usual diplomatic take on a competitor's offering of "old crop"
coffees. And note the Vendor in question never mentions arrival dates in any
offering. (not mentioning arrival date seems to be the norm.)
One of the many reasons for shopping with SM over other purveyors of greens
to home roasters is Tom's exception to the rule and openly listing when he
receives a green.

I think a "found bag of coffee beans" is like the finding of a box of voted ballots in a Chicago ward 2
weeks after the election ended that were not yet counted. Hey, I found the box in my trunk and the
lock is still on it, seems like the ballots ae a little damp and mouldy, mayber they fell in the lake but
hey, they are still good ballots. I really enjoyed living in Illinois all of those years.

Why do you say you don't mean to violate the rules and then turn around and
flagrantly violate the rule?

Stop already! I'm completely overstocked! I just placed and you shipped
today a totally unnecessary order, I really only needed the paper bags =
but
those new Geshas were too tempting! Please! No more new great coffees =
for a
while! I think I need to join GCBA (Green Coffee Buyers Anonymous) ... =

start drinking a lot more coffee.

Drink more coffee. After a given point the caffeine does not bother people anymore. Then you can
drink coffee like water.

Add me to the list. I think I've become a bonified Indian coffee lover.
I had always considered myself a Costa Rican guy, and I still am. But I
love the coffees from India and I think that is now my all time favorite
coffee region. And with these new offerings, I have some of them all on
the way here. I'll celebrate their progress to my house by roasting some
Mysore Nuggets this week.
