Topic: Disturbing happenings in Kona (25 msgs / 620 lines)
1) From: miKe mcKoffee
Was perusing the 2007 Kona Coffee Cultural Festival driving tour map and
noticed a disturbing addition. Something that did not exist on the Big
Island any of my trips in past years. See #5 (two locations in Kailua-Kona)
on the driving tour map and cringe:-(http://home.comcast.net/~mckona/PNWGVI.htmKona Kurmudgeon miKe mcKoffee">http://www.konacoffeefest.com/images/2007/DriveTourMap%2707o.pdfPacific Northwest Gathering VIhttp://home.comcast.net/~mckona/PNWGVI.htmKona Kurmudgeon miKe mcKoffee

Karli, that would likely be a rule violation or something.... Oh, and your
coffee is going to get bad, and your appreciation for subscribing to a
focussed email service is likely to be misconstrued...
But you go girl! Let them know who's boss! And say it with Pride, with
Conviction!
Perhaps you might actually read the email to the bottom, and deduce (that's
not a 4 letter word, I know, but try) - yeah, deduce - that it's your own
email signed up for this thing....
You make us proud - we only wish you could stay longer!

Karli, Carli (in case you spelled your name improperly) when YOU signed up for this list you accepted the rules and obligations.
Hence take yourself off the list.
Please be advised that we do not tolerate potty mouth here on the SM coffee list. EVER.
So get a grip kiddo, suck it up and take yourself back to the ships hold you came from...

I still cant figure out what set her off like that. Whatever it was
went right over my head, well, except for the profanity which I agree
was way out of line.

I'm just wondering if she thought this was going to be a narrowly on-
topic list, and that anything peripheral to the mechanics and
substance of homeroasting (even if pertinent to what to do with one's
roasted output) was too off-topic for her. But I am puzzled as to the
vehemence of her request.

She's already got the narrow part down real good!
I can only imagine that my response to her barrage can only help her
understand the reality of her predicament.
And I feel bad, because with each additional word, I am delaying the part
where she reads all the way down to the answer that she is so desperately,
floggingly desparate, to remove this noose which she so carefully has strung
around her own neck.
And I could go on, but the words are fleeting, slowly, vanishing... alas...

Wow who lit the fuse on your tampon this morning or did you just put it
on sticky side up? Last time I heard a rant like that the person
stormed off the list themselves and didnt whine to be undone by someone
else.
I would suggest you learn how to read, and follow the simple
instructions which are pretty much on the bottom of every posting to the
list on how to unsubscribe.
Here Ill even give you a hand.
click ----> http://lists.sweetmarias.com/mailman/options/homeroast/*you*

then change the last part with your e mail address and you will be
unsubscribed.
Have a wonderful day, but before you go, please, enjoy a nice steaming
cup of hot coffee, I believe it might help your disposition.
and to think, everyone thinks *I* am a grump HUMBUG!!!

Maybe she works for Starbux, or her ex boyfriend signed her up for the list
and now he's gone.

Might have been her ex-boyfriend, or the one from earlier in the day, or one
of the boyfriends from the previous day... Hard to know for certain, but
obviously she had her lists mixed up...
