I was looking over the SM site and saw this and I realized I hadn't heard much about cleaning the ZASS Any thougths comments blasts? Dennis, I periodically remove the grinding mechanisms from my hand grinders and clean them with a toothbrush. I suppose I could use a solvent, but seems that in a day or two I would be back to where I was with oils. The toothbrush seems to work pretty well to remove solid materials from the grinding mechanisms. Brian On 9/24/07, True, Dennis W. FC1 (CVN69) wrote: <Snip>
The implication seems to be that Urnex Grindz is a solvent, it is not. FWIW IMO Minute Rice and Grindz work equally well from testing head to head. I believe SM recommends running Minute Rice through a Zass to clean it. = I did this with my old Saeco & it worked great.
ive found minute rice and oats to be too messy, i prefer Grindz. though it looks and smells identical to oats, just doesnt crush into a powder as much. On 9/24/07, Rob Piirainen wrote: <Snip>
