Topic: Panama Esmerelda disappointment (2 msgs / 79 lines)

Been busting my butt since 5am. Having finished roasting those 18 =
samples,
finalizing contract changes/additions, researching City of Vancouver =
sign
ordinances and various sundry other fun and groovy things, switched to
finishing cleaning up from yesterday's all afternoon cupping session and
general cleaning the kitchen. (BTW side note, picked up a case of 36 =
5.5oz
rock glasses for cupping. Bruce & I wondered if we'd need so many until
doing public invited cuppings. Used 33 yesterday. We'll be picking up
another case of 36 shortly:-) Anyway after loading the dishwasher hand
washed the 12" SS skillet and was about to attack the 14" when it hit =
me,
13+ hours non-stop and I NEED a cup of coffee to keep going!
So thought to myself a café crema Americano Esmerelda Gesha sure would =
hit
the spot. Grabbed a vac'd mason jar with Panama peeking on the turned =
away
label, ground and pulled the lungo shot, added a bit of hot water and =
took a
sip. Hmmm, tastes decent but sure did die since last night! Then I took =
a
closer look at the jar. Enjoying a really quite nice Panama Baru café =
crema
Americano as long as NOT expecting Esmerelda Gesha as I type. Yeah, I'm =
a
bit tired, but a good tired:-)
I think I'll 'try' and actually quit biz' work for the evening. Hell =
late
last night while tossing and turning trying to go to sleep was tweaking =
a
roast profile in my mind! Naw, I don't live and breeth coffee:-)
Another BTW, be careful not to too closely and deeply inhale the dry =
grounds
fragrance during cupping sessions or you WILL be breething coffee up =
your
nose:-)
Then there was spitting the coffee out in the drinking water glass =
around
hour 5 marathon cupping...did that one 3 times in last the half hour of =
the
session!
This Panama Baru really is good BTW.
Good-night and good roasting!
