I just went to our local francise coffee shop and got my first =
cappuccino since my trip to NYC a few weeks ago. While there I went to =
Gimme Coffee and 9th St Espresso and had the best caps I've ever had =
with the pretty art and all. Well, I'm not in NYC anymore!! There was no =
love in my cap, no banging, tamping, knocking......just the push of a =
button and voila! Oh, the guy did steam the milk himself and pour it in =
the cup. And he's not some teenager, he's the owner! I'm drinking it =
now and all I taste is milk (I know there's espresso in there somewhere) =
AND I burnt my tongue! Overall not a real good experience, except I =
bought a good scone there.

I, too bought a scone at such a place, JHT. The cranberry scone nearly
blotted out the burnt flavor of the coffeelike beverage. Yes, it was That
Place.
We had a convention this weekend at Bunker Auditorium of the Green Center a=
t
CSM in Golden. 28yrs ago, there was a core laboratory where I was abusing
oil shale samples in the building.
The kitchen is well equipped with restaurant fume hoods- how I wish I still
had my Aroma Roast there from years past. I should have passed on the coffe=
e
shop invitation.
My Ethiopian Harar L30, Green Stripe and Sumatra Mandheling would have
demanded the Capresso Luxe thingy. With just a 90 minute lunch break and no
grinder, it only briefly crossed my mind. The coffee snob couldn't be the
Über Snob.
When to quit pulling doubles of undeniably fresh roasted coffee?
Cheers, Mabuhay -RayO, aka Opa!
