Well, we finally got back home yesterday evening. It was a full and fun
trip. We hit Gettysburg, PA on Monday last week, Strassburg, PA on
Tuesday (great RR museum). Wednesday, it was historic Philly.
Thursday, chocolate at Hershey's. Friday, wedding rehearsal about 1
hour out of Philly. Saturday, hanging around Amish country and Sunday,
wedding. Back on Monday.
In all that, we drank mostly Colombian coffee and generally out of the
provided Presto. The taste in the Presto was a bit off, I thought, so I
tried the Indian Mallali in the AP. Still not right. Took a drink of
water - that was it. We were using the bottled water for the baby's
bottle, so my coffee was less than stellar all week. I was also heating
in a microwave. There was no stove and I didn't take the electric kettle.
So, lesson learned about water. I've read it, understood it (you can't
misunderstand it when you've thirstily slugged back sulfer-tainted water
as a child ;-)). But now I know it in a new way, and appreciate the
clearer tasting water I have here at home.
