Topic: OT: I am off to Oakland (42 msgs / 1179 lines)
1) From: Bonnie Polkinghorn
Wish me luck, I am going to this party for all of you that cannot make it.
I packed my camera. I packed extra batteries.
I'm leaving work at 1:00 Pacific Time and will go pick up my rental car, I
figure it gets much better gas milage than my pickup, is an automatic for
the anticipated bad traffic, and it's a fairly inexpensive rental.
I am a very nervous person, I am nervous to drive all that way by myself, I
am nervous to cross the bridge, I am very nervous to be in Oakland, I am
nervous to meet new people. I have been nervous all week. Heck, I'm
nervous to post this message to the list.
I appreciate all of the people who contribute to this list so much, I feel
like I have to go! I also appreciate Tom, Maria, all the folks at Sweet
Maria's, I can't resist to go.
A full report will be posted some time this weekend.
Trembling as I type,
Bonnie P.

Bonnie,
Maybe you need to switch to decaf! (just joking) No, thanks for being
brave cause I am stuck at work and told my wife, we should be heading south
for 8 hours tomorrow morning. Have fun!

I haven't meet Tom, so I can't tell you about him personally. But I have met Maria when I stopped there one time. She
really is a very sweet person. I'm sorry I couldn't stay longer just to visit with her, but I had to drive back to
southern California, and she had a business to run. Don't worry about meeting people, it always works out fine.

Nice!
I'm a Kent State grad and went to the stadium to watch OSU "practice" on my
Alma Mater. It was still a great time, the atmosphere in that place is a
lot of fun. I was just excited to see Kent score one more point than Akron
did this year, LOL!
