Topic: Need a place to post a picture... (24 msgs / 396 lines)
1) From: Sean Cary
I have a picture of the mug of one of the Master Sergeants here that
will turn your stomach... I have nowhere to post it - since well, I
block that kind of thing from happening on the networks here... They
have been here since January, it has been washed ONCE.
It is 200k so too big to include as an attachment I think...

So I am having this great thread all by myself... Guess I Don't need
a place to post a pic...
That is our Tech Controllers mug, and he explained to me he does not
wash is so that others will not use it.
Safe from me using it. Back to work.

Can you use Photobucket, or is that not allowed either?

Well, could you e-mail it to someone here...and they can host it for you
on their Photobucket or other site? Just trying to think of an idea that
would work. I'd offer to do it for you, but I'm not always around here
much and probably won't be home at all tomorrow.

That cup looks very familiar. I recall seeing several like it on a certain
desk while I was stationed in DaNang.

My oldest son is a total Red Sox nut - he spent the whole weekend with his
friends celebrating (lol - despite my disapproval). I was so much more
involved
w/watching the World Series when I lived far away from home... hey, I never
thought I could refer to more than ONE time they won the World Series!

Ok, that? Is DISGUSTING! I was expecting the nasty layers of coffee sludge,
but it looks like actual microbial growth of some sort. Gee-ROSS! Has he
developed a taste for fungal tea then?

email it to me and I will put it up!
Actually, it brings up another topic: I have been working on a new
site feature that is an image gallery, and that would eventually
include upload sections for pictures. I use a test domain for it,
homeroasting.com, as a placeholder. the URL ishttp://www.homeroasting.com/gallery/main.phpif you want to get the general idea, but it is finished yet.
(Don't comment or sign up or anything, since it might all be lost
when I move it to a new domain. It also runs very slowly, which needs
to be addressed.

Sean, that is one nasty mug. I once worked with a guy, another
engineer, who had a similar one. He referred to the layers of crud as
the cup's "fine patina".
