He's still in training, but he does a better job than any of the coffee shops around here.http://picasaweb.google.com/krisbhatti/NewBarista/photo#s5129807258383115426Kris

That isn't by any chance a People's Glorious Orange heat gun, is it?

But of course it is! I got it when I started roasting back in March and have roasted at least 1 pound per week since then with this gun. Now that I've heard all these stories about the heat guns dieing with a shower of sparks, it adds an extra element of danger and excitement to the roasting process. I better have my dog stick to using the popper, just to be safe.

Kris, thanks for sending us the link - how on earth did you get your
dogs to stay still long enough?
(Knowing my dogs.. they'd either want to cuddle up with me, or, with
my death-defying, seizure-prone
Emma, I'd be fighting to keep her from trying to eat the beans & drink
the coffee. (despite the lectures
I've given her on how toxic it is for dogs... )

This reminds me so much of the Gary Larson cartoon about why weiner dogs are
so wired - one is standing in the kitchen pulling a shot of espresso.
Thanks for the laugh!
