Brett,
You really summed it up, this is my coffeehouse also. The people are
great, I have found some patient and wonderful teachers and learned
more than I would have imagined. Also, as a beginner, and using an
off the shelf machine, not some cool thing I developed, I have been
treated courteously and with respect. I believe I have returned the same.
I don't have a place to go and talk about coffee, or sometimes,
something off topic, such as in a chain or private coffee house. I
am not going in there with my cup of coffee, though, in town there is
one restaurant which lets you bring in coffee from a great privately
owned coffeehouse across the street. They know their coffee is the
typical inexpensive restaurant coffee - their food is another matter,
quite good, and the workers even better. So, that is nice. But,
this is where I come to catch up, learn, see how others are doing,
for I truly care - I don't come here just to sponge information, but
rather to learn by asking and offering my experience when it seems it
may help a situation. I also recognize that my experience is mine,
it doesn't mean it is true for others, and I know what amount of time
I have been roasting, so much is still to be learned.
From what I can tell, the learning goes on during every roast no
matter which number roast it is. That is cool. We all keep learning
something we can share with others in this on-line coffee shop, well
put, Brett.

Hey Rick, nice
clarification...  I relish this list because of the people on
it.  Everyone is at a different place, and that's OK....
For me, this IS my local coffeehouse - wouldn't want to eb anywhere else
than with all of you...
