1) From:
I have a friend looking for a used Rocky and or Silvia. Anyone have anything? Otherwise he'll have to get a new Silvia and a used hand grinder for now.
Appreciate it,
Tim

Hey Tim,
You might direct your friend to the sale page at Sweet Maria's - at times
they are the secret place to get a great deal...http://www.sweetmarias.com/prod.sale-items.shtml You could even find a
Nuovo Simonelli Oscar for 40% off - like the one there today!

that is where I got my lightly used (and still have not seen) Rocky
for $270.00...
I am in search of a used Silvia now - preferably PID'd...but have ALL
this tax free $$ piling up, so new is not that bad an option.

I have a used Rancilio Silvia that has an Omega PID that I bought from a
Harvard Professor
The PID keeps the boiler water at exactly 204.9 Celsius.
I paid 700.00 will sell for 500.00 plus shipping.

You could just about ROAST coffee to light American/Cinnamon at that
temperature!

FWIW I have a La Marzocco Linea 3AV with Fuji PID, it does NOT keep the
boiler at exactly 202.4 fahrenheit but rather keeps the brew boiler at 202.4
+ or - a couple tenths:-) Now during shots the Linea will stay within + or
- a couple tenths while with a Silvia the temperature will dive a good 7
degrees fahrenheit at the puck by the end of the shot and the boiler will be
substantially lower.
