I use a Macintosh database I developed using FileMaker Pro. It lets me keep track of the coffee I buy, including all of the descriptive information from the SM web site; what I roast, and when and how I roast it; and the resulting stash. I can even keep pictures of the roasts, both whole bean and ground. (I actually used this feature four or five times...) It will also store profiles and let you use those profiles when logging a roast, which was helpful when I was still using my iRoast. FileMaker Pro is a bit expensive. You can also get it for Windows, but the database might need some tweaks due to the fonts I use. Anybody who has FMP is welcome to a copy of my database. Please reply off-list. I have considered turning this thing into a standalone Mac application. Mac OS X has some pretty decent database capabilities built in that would allow me to do some things that I have not managed to do with Filemaker.
