I am sipping a travel mug full of Costa Rica SHB and this is incredible.
Roasted in my drum to FC, 44 degrees by thermometer, cooled and rested since
last Tuesday evening. I roasted 6lb of this, and have been drinking it
every day. Ran an espresso bar in an airplane hangar Saturday-Sunday
morning, and this was good. But it was only good.
Today the magic came alive. Brewed a pot in my Clarity ("Technivo-cheap"),
loaded the mug and drove to work... Rich, smooth, sweet - perfect...
Here's a cup, to you, hoping your day and first cup is great too!
Cheers,

So, how much did you make while running the espresso bar in the airport? ;-P

How much did I make running an expresso bar in the airport?
First, to qualify: Was a Boy Scout outing, with about 10 adults and 50
kids... I spent about $21 on supplies, between beans, milk, cocoa, sugar,
and creamer. I received $25 in tips... I ran the shop for about 10 hours
on Saturday, and 3 hours on Sunday - so I made almost $0.22 per hour -
grossing $4.
Pretty good for a hidden shop inside a test lab / hangar...

In that circumstance, I'd say you did well if you just broke even!
Must've been pretty good coffee - $25 in tips.

Was the same Costa Rica I had today, along with African Highlands WP
Decaf... The boys didn't know I went to decaf around 3PM for everything.
They loved their mochas, coffees and cocoas, and the one Macchiatto I made
was incredible - according to the Scoutmaster...
Espresso Station is going on the next outing too...

Heh. I used to take my espresso machine with me to a Mac hacking (in
the original/true sense of the word) conference - the conference
started at midnight and went 72 hours straight. I pulled many a shot,
and never broke even, but what the hey, it was fun and social. And I
wrote some neat hacks too.
Sadly, that conference (MacHack) is no more. Maybe next year I'll
bring the espresso machine to our ham radio club's field day
operation next year. Might boost our score ;)

Glad you clarified that. Last time I roasted to 44 degrees, they were hard
to grind and the brew wasn't ANY good at all.
