Rich,
I can give you the exact answer to your grill question, been there, done 
that.   It's easy to convert the Charmglow/Brinkman to natural gas.  Go to 
ACE hardware and buy a #49 drill bit.  Drill out each of your three gas 
orifices with the bit, you only need to drill out the main jets/ the ones 
you can see without any disassembly of the knob/gas valves.  Take off the 
old regulator and stick it in a box in the garage to be thrown away in 10 
years.  Plumb in your gas connection directly or with a flex quick 
disconnect and roast coffee.
