Topic: OT: Cheap Leak Detection (2 msgs / 103 lines)
1) From: Michael I
This is a multi-part message in MIME format.
For those of you with direct plumbed espresso machines, leaks can be
catastrophic (I know there are a couple of stories in the archives). You
can get leak detectors that are in line with your water line that will
automatically shut it off, but today on Woot is a cheap alternative, which
just sets off an alarm when there's a leak. Obviously, they're not very
attractive, and the alarm is no good if you're not home, but it's probably
better than having nothing, and the price is right (for 2, no less).
Anyway, not shilling for Woot, but thought it might be useful for somebody.http://www.woot.com

At the end of our long drawn-out remodeling of the kitchen, I will
will have my own ten foot section of counter top devoted to coffee, it =
will have a sink with drain tray that will hold the plumbed espresso
machine. If it leaks, there is a drain ready for it.
