Topic: break on through to the darker side (40 lines)
1) From: Robert D. Crawford
I have been intending to send this out for about 2 weeks now.
Procrastination is one of my many virtues.
Thanks to Alchemist John, I am the proud owner of a Gaggia Classic.
...and there was much rejoicing. (Yeah!)
Thanks also go out to Les for one of his tampers. It is a pleasure to
use.
I have been turning out 3 or 4 doubles per day... almost every day. I
am not sure if it is my tolerance for mediocre espresso or if I am just
doing a good job but I have only sent a few to the sink. Getting good
crema, too.
If anyone in the Murfreesboro, TN area wishes to come by the house and
school me on what it takes to pull a good shot, let me know and I will
give the address. I'll let you play with my Behmor, too. It is
scheduled to arrive tomorrow.
The only problem I seem to be having is in relation to blonding. I
can't see it. Currently, I am using a stopwatch and stopping the shot
at 2 oz, roughly, as long as it falls between 20 and 30 seconds. I am
getting most around 22-27. If anyone has tips on how to improve without
being able to see much detail, let me know.
Thanks for letting me brag a little,
rdc
