Hello,

Just finished my first roast with my new Behmor. Lots of you have
undoubtedly shared your stories and perhaps read far too many such stories.
I was generally quite pleased with the results for a first batch. My one
concern is the chaff issue. fully half of the chaff was outside the chaff
collector screen.

I can easily deal with the minor inconvenience; I write here to see if
others have had any luck in modifying or enhancing the chaff collector for
better control.

Jeff

BTW: Blended some of the output from the Behmor with a like amount from my
last IRoast2 batch for superb results unlike anything I've had before.

Hey Jeff, what kind of coffee did you roast that had this much chaff.
Im trying to get an approximate here as some are much more chaff
producing than others.

Hi Aaron,
Combined two coffees for roasting, using
4 oz. Brazil Screen-Dried Moreninha Formosa
4 oz. Sumatra Classic Mandheling
Both were amongst the samples which came with the roaster. The flavors were
great; just hoping to adapt something to make the chaff more manageable
(less fire prone). . . .
Thanks,
Jeff

I get a bit off chaff in the rear of the macine but that is the nature of the beast!
