Just a little rambling here.
Because of going away over the Thanksgiving holiday I didn't get my Behmor
until Sunday. Of course I have been playing; some successful and some not.
Today I roasted some Costarican beans I had on hand; the automatic profile
didn't take them dark enough so I decided to "re-roast them and go manual".
I waited until the second crack was in full swing and hit the cooling
button. Of course the batch went sailing right into a french / Italian
roast, onto what I thought was CharBuck$. After the beans sat for a bit I
decided to give it a try anyway. What a surprise; they still produced a good
tasting cuppa Joe. That was this morning. I just finished roasting some
Kenya I had on the shelf. I went manual, watched, listened, smelled, and
nailed the roast at a nearly perfect FC. I am drinking a cup now (short rest
period) and it has a nice aroma with fruity flavor and no bitterness.
I think the Behmor will be a good tool for me after I get a little
experience.
Best Regards, Ken.
