Does anyone vacuum seal beans? I used to wait a day after roasting and =
then vacuum seal them in a Foodsaver bag and freeze them. While they =
didn't compare to fresh, they still beat out any supermarket product. =
I've got my new Behmor and now I feel like I've got to use up old =
supplies before I roast again. It's killing me. I'm pretty sure my old =
methods might not have been the best, but a Whirley Pop was what I used =
to use and I liked to set a weekend aside and do it all at once. The =
tastes I'm getting from the Behmor will have me at 1/2 lb. at a time now =
and no more freezing. I can't believe the clarity and multiple flavor =
notes I'm now getting and I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.
I came across a youtube video showing a Jamaican Rasta making a most low =
tech coffee buck and I hope posting the URL is OK as he's not selling =
anything.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1RnVfM4g6U His finished =
product is popping (probably both cracks) as he spreads them out to cool =
and visually he seems to have the entire roasting color spectrum =
covered.
Baamaapii (Anishinabe or Ojibwe for see you later),
Mike
