Sandy, the ONLY way to add vanilla to your coffee (if you must) is with =
Mexican vanilla. It's all good, and you will save money by getting the =
one-liter size. Their water-process, as compared to Watkins alcohol =
based version, produces a natural vanilla-bean flavor and doesn't make =
the resulting cuppa or beaker-ah bitteer even if you accidentally or on =
purpose add too much.

Where do you find Mexican vanilla by the liter? I buy 8oz bottles
for $4.95 at one of the local coffee shops.

That's why I bought the stuff as a souvenir in Puerto Vallarta--the
state of Jalisco makes the best liquid vanilla as well as tequila. The
water process also doesn't introduce extra calories or raise blood
sugar the way the Watkins process can. That one liter bottle (I
mistakenly said "quart" in my earlier post) is certainly going a long
way for very little money.

Dunno if I still have the bottle--I decanted it into smaller Nalgene
bottles as soon as I got it home to minimize evaporation and
facilitate gift-giving. But it was in a ribbed brown polycarbonate
liter bottle with a yellow label with brown lettering--and it seemed
several souvenir stands downtown (especially near the cigar shops)
were carrying it.
