Topic: Jehoshaphat Java (3 msgs / 75 lines)

It was referenced in my story "Dragon Stew" that one of the angels was
sipping on a cup of Jehoshaphat Java, and wondered what that blend might
entail. So, naturally I had to come up with it. :)
Here is my blend:
1 part Yemen Ismael - FC+, on the edge of Vienna
2 parts Java Prince - FC+
2 parts Indido Misty Valley - C+
This blend creates a very spicy, sweet, deep fruited plum/raisin flavor.
I like how this taste spicy, but still finishes with a good sweet
aftertaste and fruity. Makes for a heavenly coffee. :)

Sounds like a great blend Rick. Find myself thinking (and almost tasting it
as I type) if roasted with the right profiles would make a great espresso
blend too! Though I'd probably add maybe a 1/2 part or so MM for a bit
caramel milk chocolate deep end:-) Oh fine now I'm tossing in a touch of
Aged Sumatra for a touch of smokey dark chocolate... Just leave Rick's
Jehoshaphat Java blend alone!

I do have some MM on the shelf, but no aged Sumatra. Do have some Mand.
though. This was the last bit of the Ismael I had from the 05 crop. Been
holding onto it for a while. ;)
But it does give it that spicy Mid-Eastern flavor I was imaging it would
have. The Prince provides good base notes and the IMV gives it that
needed fruit and high notes to contrast with the spice and base. Pretty
good. Probably the best blend I've ever come up with. Not that I've
tried to do many, but this one I had to figure out. :)
I'll have to make espresso some time soon, once its had a few days rest.
I'm imagining it will be pretty good too.
