When I worked in Reno a colleague had double cataract surgery. He had
been driving all along. He later admitted that pre-surgery he would
pull up to a stop sign, look for motion, and, seeing none, would pull
out. It seemed to work ok, but I don't know, sounded risky to me!
Incidentally, I can relate to Bob's marveling at the clarity of his
sight. I had the same experience when I got glasses in 6th grade. The
ride home was the most remarkable experience of my life. I could see
leaves, the wire in fences, and on and on. It was a whole new world!
Best wishes for your quick recovery, Sandy.
