1) From: Lynne
I just roasted some of this (along with several others) yesterday.
Can anyone give me suggestions on how long this should rest?
I never have any problem with sampling my roasts, but I don't
want to waste this one by drinking it too early..

I always break the rules and drink Kenyas early, even the same day.
Aromatics are great when it is a little too-fresh but the body and
balance might be a little lacking. It's worth it though. We have
another small lot of Muranga coming too.

I waited 3 days to try the Muranga and it was really nice. I wish I had
bought more of this coffee. It's good to see we have more coming. :-)

Yes, it is a Peaberry lot, incredibly small (maybe the smallest lot
in the Kenya auctions this year, just 8 bags). It arrived very late
and cups really well. We actually have one other late lot that was a
surprise: Kenya Giakanja from Nyeri. It's such an odd Kenya, almost
tastes like it has a little bit of Sumatra Blue Batak mixed in, an
odd rustic sweetness and fruited note I don't find much in Kenyas
(well, when I do, it's usually a tainted flavor, not a good flavor).
These arrived this week but we're so busy I am struggled to find the
time to upload them to the web site!

O.K., and here I am, waiting - I usually drink my homeroasted right away -
because
I just can't plan well enough ahead (I always run out before I roast!)
Going into the kitchen to brew a cup now..

I made a cup - it is SO good. Thanks Tom!
I have enough for it to last a few days, too (hopefully, I'll remember to
write
down a few notes). Smooth, no acidity (French Press). A definite wow-cup.

(and Josh - very true words. I'd like to put those on a tee-shirt!)

Tom,
Please wait! Do yourself a favor! Do us a favor. Enjoy the time off.
Maybe just maybe there will be some Christmas money to buy some more
coffee.
