While you are providing info. I wonder if you can help me decode your =
RK Drum Vienna Roast profile as published on Ron's website.
It says "4. When you smell the grassy smell cut the heat back to 450 =
until 1st crack. (very important)
5. You will notice the heat rise during 1st crack, cut your =
heat back some more. You want to have 3-4 minutes between 1st and 2nd =
crack. This roast is going take about 16-18 minutes instead of the =
normal 12-14 minutes. Keep the heat at about 470 and go 30 seconds into =
The part I don't understand is when would the heat go back to 470? =
Reducing the heat to 450 at grassy and then backing off some more at 1st =
crack doesn't get the heat back to 470? Is that a typo? I'm assuming =
we back the heat to 450 at grassy, then a little more as 1st gets going =
and hold it low to get 3-4 minutes to 2nd- is that correct?
