That's what I have so far... I'm only looking to spend about $80-$100 =
because I have to replace an engine in my truck (again, this will be =
number 2 in about 9 months... agggh! vehicles can be so frustrating) so =
I have about -$3000, yet somehow enough for coffee...? Funny how that =
works... again, that's logic for you.
  Thanks for any suggestions

  Bryan,
If you can get the truck to Westland (western suburb of Detroit) I =
know an excellent engine rebuild shop. I recently had them rebuild my =
son's car engine and they did a great job at a reasonable price. They =
removed his engine, completely disassembled it, cleaned and inspected =
the parts, replaced all bearings, seals, rings etc. and reinstalled the =
engine for $2600. Actually that would have been the price if his block =
was usable, but he had spun a bearing and they had to get a different =
block. I also had them replace the water pump while it was apart. The =
actual total came to $3000 including taxes and labor. (The block was =
about $275. At that point, the engine was out and apart and it would =
have been a perfect opportunity to stick me with a high charge but they =
didn't. This further proved that they are an honest operation) They =
include a 18,000 mile / 18 month warranty with it and the whole process =
took about 3 weeks which included a week extra that it took them to get =
a different block. Before I went there, I checked them out and found =
that they had been in business there for 29 years and there had been =
zero complaints filed against them. Their name is AM Car and they are =
located on Hix Rd. in Westland, MI. My son has been very happy with =
the work, so far. I have no affiliation with them. I just found them =
very good to deal with.

Mike - what a great commendation - I hope AM continues another 29
years, and somehow is equipped with good coffee to boot...
