Topic: Just a Behmor Thought for Sweet Marias (8 msgs / 506 lines)
1) From: homeroast
Tom / All -
I've really enjoyed and benefited the Behmor profile discussions here.
Given the likelihood that the Behmor will be the most widely owned
roaster by the casual user would Sweet Marias consider including a
Behmor profile in Tom's bean reviews? I DON'T MEAN an exact setting,
just more of a discussion about a bean's characteristics in terms of the
things a Behmore can do, e.g., a "all in" P1 type bean, those that might
benefit from the discusson today on P2 which separates 1st and 2nd
crack, or those that might actually use a P3 or P4 type series of stages
(if any).
For me it quickly became apparent that using the 1 pound setting with
less beans gave me more control over the entire process. I'm only
interested in the additional info on bean characteristics so i'll have
an easier time knowing where to start, profile-wise.
I simply will never have enough time to "study" the beans like Tom does
even tho I have all the time I need to roast.
Thanks in advance for considering this suggestion.
Regards,
Randy in Florida

ray...sorry you appear to have misunderstood my post...i assume it was
in your native language. my suggestion dealt with the tom's coffee
cupping notes on greens and the addition of a bit more info on bean
hardness and the roasting profile (general....not necessarily behmor
specific) the bean responds best to. thanks for your kind and
meaningful contribution.

Randy,
Here's site to look at helping with "predicting" profiles. Yes, you can
look at a bean and use the information!

I hope this helps
