So, I finally sifted through the beans and removed all the bits of
styrofoam peanuts. I'll probably make another pass on a cookie sheet
just to be sure I got 'em. all. I would imagine roasting peanuts
would really wreck the roast...
I found one stone, too. Yay.
Anyone else have a bag burst in transit?
BTW, I hear that Sweet Marias is now out of stock on the NMPP. Glad I
got mine, even if I did have to work for it :)

Now I know what Brown can do for me....
There was an impressive bash on the opposite side from the burst bag.

If you can blow air throught he beans -- as in a popper or a collander-and-fan setup -- you should be able to blow the Styrofoam out of the beans. Do it outside...in someone else's yard. :-)

These aren't whole peanuts; teeny fragments of styrofoam stuck to the
beans with static. Air MIGHT be enough, but I wouldn't rely on it
without further inspection. And hey, it was only 2# of beans, so not
really worth the extra effort.
The ideal would be to charge the beans with the same charge as the
peanut bits. What is the dielectric constant of green NMPP?
