Rooting around the cupboard, I found a jar of this in the back I roasted
on the 12th of January. What a surprise!
My logs tells me I wanted to stop it early for more fruity-ness. So:
Gene Cafe, pre roast 220g/ post roast 189g, preheated, 1st crack at
12:13 stopped at 13:15, vacuum colander cooled.
Profile: 360 for 5 minutes, 465 to 10 minutes, 471 to first (12:13) and
dropped to 455 10 seconds later until end.
Brewed Jan 26, French Press, 30g, 32 oz water, medium grind, rested two
weeks.
Cup aroma: chocolate, mild spice - Taste: lots of blueberry, fruity,
winey, spicey, as the cup cooled apricot appeared - Aftertaste: sweet
tobacco, chocolate, apricot at the end - Mouthful: thick & syrupy.
I was blown away by the amount of fruit and blueberry in this cup.
Absolutely delish!!!
