After replacing the afterburner I used aluminum foil on the outside of
the afterburner cover.  We covered between 1/3 and 1/2 of the holes with
folded foil, tucked under the edges of the cover.  I then ran a cleaning
cycle and I have included the results at the end of this mail.  I think
the roaster is still running cool.  I had a repairman out early in the
week on an unrelated issue and had him to check the voltage coming out
of the outlet.  He tells me that it is 122V.  I have also cleaned the
inside of the roaster with a vinegar and water solution (applied to a
towel) to make sure that it is not the residue tricking the thermocouple
issue that has been mentioned here before.  BTW, I have not had a fire.
I just thought it might help to clean the insides.
If there are more ideas, let me know.  Otherwise, I'm going to send mail
to Joe and see what he thinks.
Here are my roaster notes.  The first two are after I tried covering the
holes with tape.  I believe it had burned through during the cleaning
cycle I did before the roasts.
