Topic: Buying beans today (5 msgs / 80 lines)
1) From: Vicki Smith
It finally happened, I got colded out of roasting. It's -31 C/-24 F with
a wind chill of -47 C/-54 F. No wind in the garage of course, but it is
just too damn cold standing on the cement floor, even with my -30
insulated boots. I know. I tried.
I have an IR2 in a closet. I'll roast tonight when I get home from work.
It will be the first time I used it since tentatively trying the bread
machine for the first time 18 months ago.
The trip to work should be fun, fun, fun. It's not snowing much, but
with the wind, we have white out conditions.

Wow ... We went the other direction - we expect 52 today - a far cry from
the -29F with wind chill just five days ago...
Hope you get some warmth! Tomorrow we expect snow again,. so this respite
is short lived! I did wash the car this morning - looks pretty good when
not caked in salt and grime!
Regards,
Brett

O.K., I guess I won't complain about our 25 degrees f. that "feels like 7
degrees."
I will complain though, that I have no coffee today. Since I am trying to
keep our seizure prone Emma away from the roasting smoke, my son said he'd
take her for a long walk when I roast. Of course, I've run out before he's
been around to do that.
Keep warm, Sandy - and let us know how the IR2 goes. I can't use mine right
now.. because of the smoke...

I got colded out of roasting at 28 F. Of course, it was snowing! So
I fired up the Behmor and did a # of Brazil Moreninha Formosa, 1/2# of
the Indonesia Flores, and 1/2# of the Columbia El Placer. All are
resting (until tomorrow that is), and I am enjoying my last of the
Rwanda Duhingekawa Women's Cooperative and trying my best not to place
any more coffee orders, but it's hard!

Is there a laundry room at your apartment? Might have an outlet, and a
window to exhaust.....
