Topic: where to buy green coffee in miami? (4 msgs / 83 lines)
1) From: Tracey Rovira
I am only staying here in Miami for a few days, leaving Tuesday. Just out
of curiousity, my husband asked me to see if I could find a local source for
unroasted coffee. So far I don't see any in the Yellow pages and nothing
pops up on a web search. Does anyone know if there's a walk-in business to
buy green coffee here in Miami, or nearby? We're flying out on Tuesday from
Ft. Lauderdale.
Thanks,
Tracey

I don't have a Florida source (I get mine from SM) but if you can find a
shop that roasts their own coffee, you have probably found a source for
greens.
Good luck

Hi Tracey,
I am not from Miami and know nothing about it, but I would assume that
if you could find coffee shops that roast their own beans, they would
sell you green beans. Just a thought...
Enjoy your trip.
Best Regards,
Ken B

This is a multipart message in MIME format.
We've also picked up a pretty decent Harar at an Ethiopian shop in the
Denver area. You might be able to find something similar in Florida. Folks
in that community are often home-roasters, albeit in their own traditional
style.
Needless to say, I wouldn't have had to do this if Tom had had some Harar in
stock at the time. Gotta get my coffee urges better synchronized with SM
inventory (or manage my own inventory better). J
